1. Our Commitment to Accuracy
ClareNow is committed to providing accurate, fair, and reliable information. We use AI to summarise and analyse news articles from third-party sources, and while we strive for accuracy, errors can occur. This policy explains how we handle mistakes and how you can report them.
2. Types of Errors We Cover
2.1 AI-Generated Summaries
Article summaries and metadata on ClareNow are generated by AI. These may contain:
- Factual errors — Incorrect statistics, dates, names, or claims not present in the original source.
- Misrepresentations — Content that changes the meaning or context of the original article.
- Hallucinations — AI-generated statements with no basis in the source material.
- Outdated information — Content that was accurate at publication but has since been superseded.
2.2 Original Source Errors
ClareNow aggregates content from third-party publications. Errors in those original articles are outside our control and should be reported directly to the source publisher. We will, however, review summaries that misrepresent third-party content.
2.3 Metadata Errors
Corrections to article categorisation, sentiment analysis, or importance scores are handled on a best-efforts basis.
3. How to Submit a Correction
Email us at info@clarenow.com with the following:
- The URL of the article containing the error.
- A clear description of what is wrong.
- What the correct information should be, with sources or evidence where available.
- Your contact email (optional, but helpful if we need clarification).
4. Review Process
Upon receiving a correction request, we will:
- Acknowledge receipt within 2 business days.
- Review the reported error against the original source material.
- Determine whether a correction, clarification, or retraction is warranted.
- Make appropriate changes where an error is confirmed.
- Notify you of the outcome if you provided contact information.
We aim to resolve all correction requests within 5 business days.
5. Correction Notices
When a significant factual error is corrected, we append a correction notice to the affected article noting what was changed. Minor corrections such as typographical fixes or formatting issues are made silently.
6. Scope
Our corrections policy covers:
- ✅ Factual errors in AI-generated summaries.
- ✅ Misrepresentations of the original source article.
- ✅ Significant categorisation or classification errors.
It does not cover:
- ❌ Disagreements with the original publisher's reporting or editorial decisions.
- ❌ Differences of opinion on sentiment analysis or importance scores.
- ❌ Requests to delete articles for reasons other than factual inaccuracy.
7. AI Disclaimer
Because summaries on ClareNow are AI-generated, we encourage readers to follow the "Read original" link on each article to verify information with the primary source before relying on it for important decisions.
